The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) at the National Basketball Association (NBA) serves as the primary liaison between the business units and the Human Resources department. This role is critical in developing and executing a human capital strategy that aligns with the organization's key business objectives. The HRBP will provide direct HR support, acting as a consultant to management on various HR-related issues, including talent acquisition, compensation, talent management, employee relations, HR operations, and employee engagement. This position requires a proactive approach to anticipating business needs and delivering integrated HR solutions that support the attraction and retention of top talent. The Senior HRBP will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality HR services across assigned client groups, which may include areas such as Basketball Operations, Referee Operations, G League, WNBA, Social Responsibility, Player Programs, the NBA Foundation, and the NBA Coalition. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining a strong understanding of the business unit's financial health, strategic plans, culture, and competitive landscape to effectively advise leadership and drive business forward through people-related strategies. The HRBP must be adept at leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions, establish baselines, and support desired people outcomes.
