This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to educate and empower travel agents, with the objective of driving sales growth and expanding market share within the assigned territory. The Manager, Business Development will oversee travel agency accounts, consistently working toward surpassing performance goals and benchmarks. This position is directly accountable for promotional efforts that generate revenue from agency-driven sales for Carnival Cruise Line. Engagement with accounts is carried out through in-person visits, virtual webinars, phone outreach, and written communications, focusing solely on B2B sales activities. Key functions include territory management and strategic sales execution, where you will design and implement strategies for territory management and business development, making assigned sales calls to travel agency accounts and conducting sales blitzes to support specific company initiatives. You will also be responsible for fostering long-term relationships with travel agents to drive sales growth, maintaining frequent contact with regional management, and collaborating with the Strategic Partner Division. Additionally, this role involves conducting training sessions and webinars to educate travel agents on Carnival Cruise Line offerings, promotions, and booking processes, as well as organizing ship inspections, trade shows, and seminars. You will also enhance promotional effectiveness, develop marketing strategies, and provide travel agents with promotional materials and recommendations to improve their marketing efforts. Maintaining accurate and detailed agency databases and completing required reporting of activities and tracking budgeted tools will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will manage the territory budget and co-op marketing needs in alignment with corporate guidelines, adapting strategies to meet territory-specific needs, analyzing performance data, and responding to market shifts with agility.
